What are the steps to receive coaching from Christie? We’ll start with a free, discovery call to get to know one another. I’ll learn about your story, situation, and goals. We’ll begin to articulate a clear and actionable plan for working towards your personal, professional or spiritual development goals and vision. Assuming we find we’re a good fit, you’ll fill out an assessment to jumpstart your self-reflection process. The first session together will be an extended, foundational session where we’ll create a Personal Development Plan, defining clear and specific goals that align with your life. Each session thereafter will be focused on a topic from our co-created Personal Development Plan. Toward the end of each session, we’ll discuss action steps and accountability. After each session, you’ll receive a Summary. This will recap the action steps you committed to that session, notes on the themes or topics that came up during the session, and resources for further learning and development. I am available for short calls, texts, or emails in between sessions. I genuinely care about you and your progress.

How does coaching work?I collaborate with my clients on a journey of self-discovery, working together to develop strategies and solutions that help them reach their goals and dreams. By actively listening and sharing insights, I encourage new perspectives that challenge their existing thought processes. Coaching offers both permission and accountability, empowering clients to see, think, and act in new ways. It is a transformational process rather than a mere transactional exchange.

How long do sessions last? The length of a life coaching session can differ based on the coach and the specific needs of the client. In my practice, I conduct a 90-minute discovery session followed by individual sessions that last 60 minutes each.

What is difference between coaching and therapy?Therapy and coaching, while both helping professions, differ in focus. Therapy addresses past traumas and severe mental health issues, while coaching emphasizes life optimization, viewing clients as creative and resourceful. Coaching is future-oriented and not about giving advice; it involves deep, impartial listening and respects the client as the expert in their own life.
